The Soloveychicks (Yiddish for "little song birds") perform original takes on new and traditional yiddish songs

The Soloveychicks (Yiddish for "little song birds") perform original takes on new and traditional yiddish songs and Klezmer instrumentals, featuring Adah Hetko on guitar and vocals, Giulia Haible on cello, and Rebecca Mac on the fiddle. Since their debut concert in 2024, the trio has been delivering lush lullabies and ruckus romps, captivating audiences with tight harmonies and playful poetry.

Rebecca Mac is Boston-based violinist and violist, regularly performing in various ensembles including Mamaliga, and the Rebecca Mac String Band. Mac has performed nationally and internationally at renowned music festivals including KlezKanada, Yiddish Summer Weimar and Yiddish New York. In addition to performing regularly in the Jewish music scene, Mac runs a regular, and inclusive Klezmer jam in downtown Boston.

Adah Hetko is a leading Yiddish singer/songwriter, dance-leader and educator. She co-leads and performs with several ensembles including Soloveychicks (" little nightingales"), and Levyosn ("leviathan"). Adah has studied with Judy Bressler (founding singer of the Klezmer Conservatory Band), and has taught and performed at festivals including Yiddish New York and KlezKanada.

Giulia Haible is a cellist and pianist who performs regularly in the Celtic sphere. A member of long standing Boston-based fiddle quintet Scottish Fish, Giulia has toured throughout the US and continental Europe performing at festivals such as Boston Celtic Music Festival, Bellingham Celtic Festival, and Festival de Ortigueira in Spain. Having grown up in Arlington, Massachusetts, Giulia kept her roots in the Boston area pursuing her undergraduate degree at the New England Conservatory of Music, where she studied under world-renowned contemporary cellist Mike Block.

Kathleen Healy is a hard-working musician & songwriter living on Cape Cod. She draws from her experience of living and raising a family near the beach for many of her songs. Thea Hopkins - A member of the Aquinnah Wampanoag Tribe of Martha's Vineyard, Thea Hopkins calls her music Red Roots Americana. The Washington Post has described her as a "standout".

Deborah Galiga is a vibrant solo performer (keyboards and guitar), singer/songwriter, recording artist, long-time member of the Boston music scene and alumna of Berklee College of Music. Her refreshing original songs look at topics such as peace, farmers’ markets, the joys of Saturday, middle school angst, insomnia, people who don’t wear watches, a long-enduring marriage, and the car as a metaphor for life.

Terri Lachance is a folk  Singer Songwriter that believes songs can change the world.  She actively curates many singer songwriter series in Connecticut in addition to performing her own timely songs.

Randie O'Neil - Award winning songwriter Randie O'Neil's storytelling comes from a sincere place. Her work as an adolescent intervention specialist brings a real-world perspective to her lyrics. Drawing on her own life story of having to survive an abusive alcoholic environment as a child, she helps students navigate a complicated world. Through her songs, she conveys a message of understanding and courage to face problems that almost all of us experience at some point in our lives.

Andrew VanNorstrand and Casey Murray really enjoy making music together!  Teaching at fiddle camps, rocking out at contra dances, in the studio working on recording projects, on stage at folk festivals, and just sitting around jamming whenever possible.  But catching them performing together as a duo is still a rare treat!  Andrew is often on the road with the progressive folk quartet The Faux Paws.  Casey has become a fixture of the New England contra dance scene and roots music community since graduating from Berklee College of Music.  They are both multi-instrumentalists and songwriters with the kind of easy and affectionate musical camaraderie you only get after nearly two decades of listening to each other.

“Les Sampou is tough. She’s also tender and smart.  And funny.  And she plays some very tasty guitar. And damn, can she write a song.”  Elijah Wald, Author of the story behind the major motion picture “A Complete Unknown.”  Les is an Americana singer-songwriter with a penchant for the blues.  She got her start in the Boston folk scene and moved on to national prominence and acclaim. Sampou has performed at Montreal Jazz Festival, SXSW, Toronto Blues Festival, Kerrville Folk Festival (where she won “Kerrville Folk Award), Philadelphia Folk Festival, Winnipeg, and Falcon Ridge to name a few. Sampou has released eight albums on Rounder Records and MoNando Records. She has won numerous songwriting awards including the US Songwriting Competition for her political song “Lies From Truth.”
